Homage to Emily Gertrude Thomson (1850–1929), English illustrator and artist who illustrated the cover of Lewis Carroll's "The Nursery 'Alice'" (1890). As far as I know (tell me if I'm wrong), it was the first time that Alice's story was explicitly illustrated as a dream, because unlike the two classic Alice books in which the dream is only revealed at the end, in this work it is explained right at the beginning.
"Once upon a time, there was a little girl called Alice: and she had a very curious dream. Would you like to hear what it was that she dreamed about?"
