site: Alice in Dreamland
I'm fascinanted by this amazing new Alice adventure.
As
the Brazillian author Monteiro Lobato said when he watched the
Paramount Alice movie in 1933: "Alice's dream has just been dreamed
again."
Some Japanese doll artists including this crew
have a peculiar connection with the dream of Alice, daring the uncanny
and the enchanted, bringing memories of stop motion animators and doll makers and surreal artists as Hans Bellmer and the garden of delights of Hieronymus Bosch, among other influences.
They capture the arcane side of Alice, as a dreamer with power to unlock doors of consciousness
opening the creative paths to the fantastic, the magical and marvellous as a journey toward ou inner Alicedelic gardens.
Unfortunately
I didn't manage yet to find the names of the crew that created and
produced this treasure but I will post as soon as I get.
But I recognize the presence of Mari Shimizu's dolls.
