Alice convidava os duplos e múltiplos de si mesma, enquanto a menina de Bellmer se duplicava, permutava, decompunha, invertia e transformava a anatomia humana num deslocamento constante. A forma humana era alterada e precipitada num interminável jogo de metamorfoses. E Alice, aquela que tinha comido o cogumelo fazendo com que sua cabeça fosse parar nos pés?

As bonecas de Hans Bellmer viajavam no inconsciente das representações do corpo, da linguagem e do maravilhoso, num trânsito entre o animado e o inanimado, consciente e inconsciente, numa contínua transformação movida pelo desejo. Como um objeto surrealista transgredia as fronteiras entre o sujeito e o objeto, o eu e o outro. Única e múltipla, a boneca vivia potencialmente um fluxo contínuo de transformações, transgredindo o princípio de identidade. A boneca representava, pois o oposto do corpo numa forma definitiva. Essas bonecas transgrediam os padrões da anatomia humana, libertados dos cânones normatizados na exploração das possibilidades físicas do ser humano. “Se rendiam à dinâmica improdutiva dos devaneios eróticos”.
