"Ao perguntarmos quem é Alice  nos misturamos com ela, com nossas estórias, nossas histórias. Como propõe Rosane Preciosa, com a arte nos pensamos no mundo em nós e nós no mundo na coreografia da existência. Alices se deslocam nos subterrâneos em corpos que desafiam as regras de bom comportamento. Muitas das novas Alices não são passivas, ingênuas e nem alvo de projeções românticas e idealizadas. Se comer outros pedaços do cogumelo, que metamorfoses aguardam a menina de corpo flexível e mutante que se lançou no mundo subterrâneo num pesadelo alicinante?

Alices são aquelas que foram e aquelas que virão, numa matemática que Carroll criou uma equação. É um eterno jogo entre o estereótipo e a transformação, entre o esgotamento do sempre o mesmo e a novidade que nem sempre é inovação, entre a repetição e o desejo. Entre as novas Alices existem aquelas que zombam do bom comportamento de Alices certinhas, bem vestidinhas, sempre alegres, eficientes, coerentes, acomodadas e adequadas e faz um convite para enfrentarmos a loucura, o insólito e o imprevisível que habitam em nós." Adriana Peliano

 Alices are those that were and those to come, in a mathematical equation that Carroll created as an eccentric equation. It is an eternal game between the stereotype and the transformation, between the exhaustion of always the same and novelty that is not always innovation, between repetition and desire. Among the new Alices there are those who mock the good behavior of neat Alices, always well dressed, always cheerful, efficient and accommodated, and makes a call to face the madness, the unusual and unpredictable that we inhabit." Jean-François Fourtou’s (b. 1964, lives and works in Marrakech and Madrid) work plays with proportion and scale. His houses range from the giant to the miniature, from the upright to the inversed, and propose a spatial experiment that creates a conceptual illusion of shrinking and bewilderment.

Playing with proportion and scale, Jean-François Fourtou’s houses are inspired by personal memories of childhood and the disproportion of Alice’s Wonderland.
