Arisu's Adventures in Wonderland from Lewis Carroll's is entirely transformed into a Japanese Gothic Lolita wonderland. Rose Family, the unusual performers in the film,

is a charismatic unit the Japanese Gothic Lolita.

"An unashamedly gothic version of Arisu. For a start, the lead is played by a man.

The viewer can determine whether it is kitsch, camp or cult.

Arisu in a dark, subterranean wonderland. The film was made with Rose de Reficul et Guiggles, a theatre group dedicated entirely to the gothic genre. The film appears animated, but the gothic characters are as real as can be."
